I think that it is so interesting that they use translucent building material here. Because it is basically the same temperature year around, the houses do not require insulation. This is a picture of our bathroom ceiling. You can see & hear when pigeons walk across the roof. It does allow for a lot of natural lighting! Saturday, September 09, 2006

Now how's that for a roof! It not only allows for natural light, it also allows for a bit of bird-watching! It would be interesting to know what sort of material the roof is made of, as it has some sort of translucent property.
